Wear It Three Ways : Little Striped Dress {Part 1}

          Hello dears! I hope you've all had a wonderful (and stress-free) weekend! I attended a birthday party at the Zoo and rode a Carousel! It was so much fun. (more of that post later this week) 


For this month's installment of #WearItThreeWays, I'm going to split each look into an individual post.

Each look features the fabulous New Orleans inspired designs by Ashley Porter of  Porter Lyons! They recently celebrated their one year anniversary and were to donate $5,000 to the Coalition to Restore Louisiana! Congrats y'all!  

{ Look 1; Simple } 

   I found this little striped dress at Marshall's a couple months ago for less than $20! (Clearance racks really are a girl's best- and most dangerous, friend) It was love at first sight. The length and thickness of the stripes on the dress were so flattering I (obviously) couldn't pass it up. It's the perfect canvas for any Fall or Spring outfit. Wear it with a simple pair of flats seen here, or layer with a scarf and jacket and a darker shade of lipcolor (stay tuned!) You really can't go wrong.

 I accessorized this dress with these earrings and these rings from Porter Lyons to give this simple look and extra dose of elegance and character. Oh, and yes, you can mix metals! I love the idea of mixing gold and silver jewelry! I'm not entirely sure why or when this became a rule but to me, it really ups the style factor in your look.

Leather Pants + Suede

    Hello dears! I'm SO excited that Fall weather has finally rolled around! I've 

   even broken out my leather pants! I've had them for over a year now after happening upon them on a clearance rack at Target (best day ever, they were under $10!) They're a great 

   alternative to wearing blue jeans and although they may seem a bit intimidating, just pair them with a cozy oversized sweater and you're good to go!  

  Also, these nude colored suede booties are my new favorite pair of shoes. (Yet another 'Target Clearance Rack Find' ...oops!) So comfortable and they go with just about anything! 

I'm thinking of pairing them with a flowy maxi or some flared jeans. 

As far as my jewelry goes, I wanted to give this simple look a little bit more depth and I did so by adding the gold door-knocker bracelet from TrendzNOLA. It's definitely one of my go-to statement pieces for Fall.
