Today's post features my favorite pieces from Alexander Engelhardt's futuristic A/W Collection ''Xander''

                                                        

'' Alex’s line, Xander, reflects his vision of the future. The garments are heavily inspired by futurism and architecture, while using unusual shapes, lines, and silhouettes.

The collection is inspired by the futuristic vision of an android, or human robot.  It will reflect what he envisions an android would wear in the future and translate to what he envisions people wearing.  The garments will consist of structured shapes and silhouettes and transition from a more feminine view of an android, into a more intimidating, warrior-like vision.''- via Nolafw.com 

I absolutely adored the construction and color scheme of this line. It was one definitely one of the most unique and modern collections I've seen during NOLAFW. Especially those glittery black leggings! I would pair them with a grey v-neck, black blazer and some killer black stilettos in about three seconds.

        Hello dears! Here are some pics from the very first day of this season's NOLAFW 
  featuring the SS '14 lines from Hazel & Florange and Camilyn Beth! (on the blog tomorrow)

        If you recall my post on Hazel & Florange's runway debut {here}, you'll remember how
  much I loved how adorable/wearable each and every piece was! This season's collection was 
  full of playful silhouettes, (i.e that understated bustier and maxi-skirt combo, anyone?) chic 
  prints, and my personal fave; super cute and witty tees! The runway show even featured 
  eyewear from KREWE du Optic ( can we talk about those perfect bone white frames?! )

       Now for my look, I snagged this gorgeous mint colored lace dress during the Shop Your 
   City Day Event the day before and it is currently being shared by my super stylish friend 
   Rebecca and I. We came across it and gave each other the look of 'We need this'.  I paired
   a complimenting lace drawstring bag (not pictured) and some neutral suede platforms.

Shop Your City Day {NOLAFW}

     Hello dears! This past Saturday was the last day of NOLA Fashion Week. These pictures  were taken the Saturday before during the Shop You City Day event. I had an absolute blast 
getting to shop at the Hazel & Florange store and was even able to meet one of my all time favorite fashion bloggers and style inspiration; Julia of Gal Meets Glam ! She was one of
several bloggers (Design Darling, Sequins & Stripes , and A Piece Of Toast) who participated in the events held at various stores around the city. Andi's store is truly a gem and if you love Vintage I highly recommend stopping by and treating yourself to some lovely finds (as if the
decor wasn't reason enough to stop by) My friend Rebecca and I came across a gorgeous lace mint colored drop-waisted dress and fell in love instantly. In fact, I wore it to the Hazel &  
Florange and Camilyn Beth shows the next day! Stay tuned ...

  NOLAFW Day 5 also included the launch of Andi Eaton's hippie-
  chic line, Hazel & Florange. 


    I absolutely adored everything about this collection. 
  From the colorful turbans, chic tassel earrings, to the sweet 
  macaroon tees; it perfectly embodies the style every laid back 
  New Orleans girl strives for. 

  This collection featured some amazing pieces from RENU Jewelry,
     a unique jewelry line by Brooke Squyres. My favorite was the
  turquoise beaded statement necklace with the red tusk accent!!

   I was blown away by the beautiful designs of Miss Eaton and
   can not wait to get my hands on one of those precious tees!
