#NOFW // Freret & Napoleon

Hey y'all! Today and tomorrow's posts wrap up my coverage of the NOFW Shows.

Let me just start by saying that this show kicked all kinds of butt. Designer Tiffany Langlinais's collection fully captured the young, cool, and spontaneous attitude of New Orleans. Being a huge advocate of oversized t-shirts and monochromatic outfits, I was immediately in LOVE with the styling of the looks. And I want(ed) everything. Did I mention that she also designed the gorgeous headpieces and necklaces worn in the show? The accessories also included detachable fringe anklets from Savvy Root (seen in the eighth image)

 "Established in New Orleans, Louisiana in November 2013, Freret & Napoleon aims to give greater accessibility to transitional and mischievous clothing and accessories that hold all of the Southern charm and New Orleanian unruliness."

  The ended with all of the models at the end of the runway popping mini confetti filled champagne bottles. Too. Freaking. Cool.

NOLAFW < Day 1 > Limousine

               This past Friday began the seventh season of New Orleans Fashion Week! It kicked off with a runway show by one of my favorite designers; Lisa Iacono! This season she collaborated with Suzanne Perron to create their collection, ''Limousine''

'' Limousine, a line of gowns and evening wear, will make its debut in Fall 2014.  Designed by American couturier Suzanne Perron, and Perron’s prodigy, New Orleans-based Lisa Iacono, the line features classic silhouettes with fresh design elements.  The pieces were inspired by iconic, silver-screen beauties, starlets who could hold their own on set, and then light up the room at the after-party.  The emphasis here is timeless, wearable, show-stopping elegance–high-fashion design at a ready-to-wear price point.''- Nolafw.com

After reading that I just had to attend. Everything from the debut-line was unbelievably beautiful and it could not have been more elegant. I felt like I was watching a live-walk through of Grace Kelly's wardrobe! (I could totally have seen her wearing the white ball gown) 

The event was held at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum, a very umm...interesting venue. (Kind of creepy, actually) My sister/photographer and I both came to the conclusion that there had to have been a horror-movie filmed there or something...we're such girls.

For my look, I decided to wear one of the dresses that I received from Charlotte Russe. It was a little on the short side for me (#tallgirlprobs) so I tucked it into this leopard print pencil skirt and presto!

                Hello dears! Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? Everything from the Camilyn   
  Beth show was just drop.dead.gorgeous. And not to mention, elegant! I want them all. 
  Especially the coral and navy blue showstoppers with ruffle details! *Swoons* (You may have 
  seen this dress by Camilyn Beth  worn by Blair over at Atlantic-Pacific. )  

                Not only was Camilyn Beth one of the first shows during New Orleans Fashion Week,
   but it was also their very first ever runway show! It was (obviously) a packed house. Everyone 
   who attended was memorized as the beautiful femininely embellished dresses came down 
   the runway. 

                 After the shows had ended I had the pleasure of seeing the lovely, Julia again (am I    
   the only one n love with her Valentino dress?!) as well as my two lovely blogger pals Krystal

        Hello dears! Here are some pics from the very first day of this season's NOLAFW 
  featuring the SS '14 lines from Hazel & Florange and Camilyn Beth! (on the blog tomorrow)

        If you recall my post on Hazel & Florange's runway debut {here}, you'll remember how
  much I loved how adorable/wearable each and every piece was! This season's collection was 
  full of playful silhouettes, (i.e that understated bustier and maxi-skirt combo, anyone?) chic 
  prints, and my personal fave; super cute and witty tees! The runway show even featured 
  eyewear from KREWE du Optic ( can we talk about those perfect bone white frames?! )

       Now for my look, I snagged this gorgeous mint colored lace dress during the Shop Your 
   City Day Event the day before and it is currently being shared by my super stylish friend 
   Rebecca and I. We came across it and gave each other the look of 'We need this'.  I paired
   a complimenting lace drawstring bag (not pictured) and some neutral suede platforms.
