Pedram Couture Designer, Pedram Pasha Taheri

I'd like to introduce you all to one of my new favorite designers; Pedram Couture.

'' I want to create something beautiful and iconic that is pleasing to the senses, both visual and tactile. It's important for me to create an emotional response'' - Pedram Pasha Taheri

Pedram specializes in all things elegant and beautiful (as if you couldn't tell), and he recently made his runway-debut during  Couture Fashion Week in New York. This past Friday, he showed a second time during Fashion Week New Orleans. I had been following along via Instagram and was beyond jealous of all my model friends who were walking in the show. Then I found out that he would be showing again in New Orleans and that was it. I just had to be there.

The first thing I noticed about this collection was the extreme attention to detail Everything from the feathers, beads, and sequins on each piece was simply unreal. And the textured/embroidered fabrics? Don't even get me started.

If I had to choose I favorite it would be the black feathered dress or the long-sleeved sequined gown. So beautiful.

Thanks for reading and be sure to stop by the Pedram Couture Site and learn more about this amazing collection and designer.

Today's post conclude my coverage of New Orleans Fashion Week and features the Fall '14 Collection from Maddie Louviere.

Her line was full of perfectly subtle pastel pieces that packed a punch of detailed construction and elegance.
Each look was styled with jewelry by EllenL and accessories from Bats On Tees.

The floral head-pieces, gold jewels, and hints of leather added just the right amount of edge to this gorgeous collection of feminine looks. Definitely one of my favorites.
Bravo, Maddie!

NOLAFW < Day 3 > Alex Engelhardt

Today's post features my favorite pieces from Alexander Engelhardt's futuristic A/W Collection ''Xander''

'' Alex’s line, Xander, reflects his vision of the future. The garments are heavily inspired by futurism and architecture, while using unusual shapes, lines, and silhouettes.
The collection is inspired by the futuristic vision of an android, or human robot.  It will reflect what he envisions an android would wear in the future and translate to what he envisions people wearing.  The garments will consist of structured shapes and silhouettes and transition from a more feminine view of an android, into a more intimidating, warrior-like vision.''- via Nolafw.com

I absolutely adored the construction and color scheme of this line. It was one definitely one of the most unique and modern collections I've seen during NOLAFW. Especially those glittery black leggings! I would pair them with a grey v-neck, black blazer and some killer black stilettos in about three seconds.

This past Friday began the seventh season of New Orleans Fashion Week! It kicked off with a runway show by one of my favorite designers; Lisa Iacono! This season she collaborated with Suzanne Perron to create their collection, ''Limousine''

'' Limousine, a line of gowns and evening wear, will make its debut in Fall 2014.  Designed by American couturier Suzanne Perron, and Perron’s prodigy, New Orleans-based Lisa Iacono, the line features classic silhouettes with fresh design elements.  The pieces were inspired by iconic, silver-screen beauties, starlets who could hold their own on set, and then light up the room at the after-party.  The emphasis here is timeless, wearable, show-stopping elegance–high-fashion design at a ready-to-wear price point.''- Nolafw.com

After reading that I just had to attend. Everything from the debut-line was unbelievably beautiful and it could not have been more elegant. I felt like I was watching a live-walk through of Grace Kelly's wardrobe! (I could totally have seen her wearing the white ball gown)

The event was held at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum, a very umm...interesting venue. (Kind of creepy, actually) My sister/photographer and I both came to the conclusion that there had to have been a horror-movie filmed there or something...we're such girls.

For my look, I decided to wear one of the dresses that I received from Charlotte Russe. It was a little on the short side for me (#tallgirlprobs) so I tucked it into this leopard print pencil skirt and presto!

Stay tuned for my coverage of Day 3 of NOLAFW!
