Hello dears! I wanted to share some pictures from an event I attended this past Thursday.

The event was held at Twisted Fiction Studio in New Orleans and showcased the Pre-Fall
'14  Capsule Collections of Amanda DeLeon (above) and Blackout. by Ashlie Ming (below).

I've been attending Amanda's showings for about 2 seasons now and every show has been
nothing short of amazing. Her extreme attention to detail, use of leather and other textured
materials and imaginative silhouettes has made her one of my favorite local designers and I
leave each show anxious to see what next season has in store!  My favorite look from this
collection was the simple back dress. So simple, classy, and versatile. I would scoop it up in
 about a minute!

Oh, and did I mention the jewelry used to accessorize both collections was Mignon
      Faget?!

I've also fallen in love with Blackout, a contemporary women's clothing line that is based in
New Orleans and designed by Ashlie Ming.

I adore everything about her line. Everything from the basic colors to the way she styled the
models' jewelry and hair. My favorite thing about the pieces are that they are easy to wear and
can be incorporated into any woman's wardrobe. Choosing a favorite was quite challenging
seeing as I (obviously) had several. The black shift dress, above, would look lovely with a
number of things. Then there's the chic white dress with the back obi belt and the all-black
rocker-chic ensemble with the black pointed metallic-tipped heels... I just love all of them and
they need to get into my closet. Like, right now.

Last week I had the privilege of covering the 'Amelie G Fall 2012 Issue Release Party'.
The event was held at the Ogden Museum in New Orleans and icluded a runway show where various New Orleans based designers showed some looks from their latest collections! The
event also featured pop-ups sales from designers and stores around New Orleans, such as
Stephanie Young,  Jess Leigh Jewels, Construct Jewelry, and Luca Falcone.

You can keep up with the magazine through their website and Facebook page, here and here

'' Amelie G Magazine is a New Orleans based style magazine featuring emerging artists and designers. Amelie G Magazine started out in 2009 as an online fashion magazine. The Premiere Print Issue was launched in the fall of 2010. The webzine continues to be updated monthly with articles, features and fashion spreads while the print issues will be a quarterly publication distributed throughout the New Orleans area. "

The latest issue featured a beautiful letter by the wife of the late Editor in Chief, Edmund Kee.
In the video posted above you can see the shoot for the magazine's Fall 2012 Issue entitled
' The good, The bad, The Beautiful'.

As far as my outfit goes, I went for the classic black on black look. I recently purchased the
black dress and clutch from Target and I just love them!
I enjoyed the event immensely and hope you all enjoy my snapshots from the party!

NOLAFW Day 2: Amanda deLeon S'S '13 Show

//  Love the military style helmets! //

// Can I have those pants? Pretty please? Just stunning //

// Me with the wonderful designer herself; Amanda deLeon //

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of attending the Amanda deLeon's S'S '13 Show!

The collection was full of beautifully made and unique pieces.  The amount of detail in each look was just breathtaking. I absolutely loved it! The show was slow but at the same time fast and
it gave each person there the chance to take in the beautiful outfits and admire each detail down
to the very last sequin on those amazing shorts! Love them!

My favorite thing about the show (besides all of the impeccably made clothes) was the the
beautiful dancer that closed the show. Her dress was just to die for! The woven details, the
sequins, metallic makeup, it was all just flawless.

                                                       Bravo Amanda!

// Love her work as much as I do? Stay connected with the designer on Facebook
