Happy Tuesday!

I'm in love with this skirt from J Crew. I've been searching for something versatile enough for summer/fall and I think I found it. I paired it with a back draped top and black strappy heels, gold accessories, and some gorgeous roses I found at Whole Foods. Seeing all the gorgeous jewel toned flowers reminded me that I'm so ready for fall !! This season's forecast consists of lots of gold jewels, textures, stripes, and ....black, of course!

Also, Maroon5's new album dropped today * fangirls* Who else is excited?!

Hello dears! I'm SO excited that Fall weather has finally rolled around! I've
even broken out my leather pants! I've had them for over a year now after happening upon them on a clearance rack at Target (best day ever, they were under $10!) They're a great
alternative to wearing blue jeans and although they may seem a bit intimidating, just pair them with a cozy oversized sweater and you're good to go!

Also, these nude colored suede booties are my new favorite pair of shoes. (Yet another 'Target Clearance Rack Find' ...oops!) So comfortable and they go with just about anything!
I'm thinking of pairing them with a flowy maxi or some flared jeans.

As far as my jewelry goes, I wanted to give this simple look a little bit more depth and I did so by adding the gold door-knocker bracelet from TrendzNOLA. It's definitely one of my go-to statement pieces for Fall.

 Thanks for reading!

Amanda DeLeon + Blackout. PreFall

Hello dears! I wanted to share some pictures from an event I attended this past Thursday.

The event was held at Twisted Fiction Studio in New Orleans and showcased the Pre-Fall
'14  Capsule Collections of Amanda DeLeon (above) and Blackout. by Ashlie Ming (below).

I've been attending Amanda's showings for about 2 seasons now and every show has been
nothing short of amazing. Her extreme attention to detail, use of leather and other textured
materials and imaginative silhouettes has made her one of my favorite local designers and I
leave each show anxious to see what next season has in store!  My favorite look from this
collection was the simple back dress. So simple, classy, and versatile. I would scoop it up in
 about a minute!

Oh, and did I mention the jewelry used to accessorize both collections was Mignon
      Faget?!

I've also fallen in love with Blackout, a contemporary women's clothing line that is based in
New Orleans and designed by Ashlie Ming.

I adore everything about her line. Everything from the basic colors to the way she styled the
models' jewelry and hair. My favorite thing about the pieces are that they are easy to wear and
can be incorporated into any woman's wardrobe. Choosing a favorite was quite challenging
seeing as I (obviously) had several. The black shift dress, above, would look lovely with a
number of things. Then there's the chic white dress with the back obi belt and the all-black
rocker-chic ensemble with the black pointed metallic-tipped heels... I just love all of them and
they need to get into my closet. Like, right now.

Thanks so much for reading and be sure to check out both designers; they truly are

Hobo Bag { One of my Black Friday purchases!} - The Limited, Chain Bracelet & Ring-Silpada Designs
  Spiked Bracelet- Trendz Nola // { photo cred, my lovely little sister Jeanne-Marie}

One of my favorite colors this season is-- oxblood! This angled shirt from Ann Taylor has
been one of my favorite things to wear lately. { Last seen here and here } I really love the neckline
of this top,  it's the perfect canvas for big statement necklaces! I also love pairing it with my
high-low skirt, pencil skirt and jeans ( seen here) I kept it simple with the jewelry and studded bag.
My Black Friday shopping excursion was a blast. Although I wasn't all that excited about waking up
at 4 am,  I managed to find some pretty amazing deals.  My lovely beige hobo bag was one of them!
I found it at one of my favorite stores, The Limited.

I'll be posting about my other purchases later in the week.

Hope everyone has a great Monday and week!
