         I had to find a way to take advantage of the gorgeous 
  city backdrop as well as the amazing blooms around the city so 
  I had my Dad/photographer (who was very patient in dealing with 
  my picky-ness when it comes to photos), snap these shots in 
  front of of the hotel we were staying at while in Chicago a few 
  weeks back. 

       The floral blouse and spiked bracelet were both purchased 
  in Chicago at the (HUGE) XXI and TopShop on Michigan Ave. The 
  amount of fun I had shopping that day was probably illegal. I 
  managed to pick up a few other things during my trip, including
  a gorgeous black wool cardigan with an embellished shoulder 
  from H&M, a b&w printed scarf from BeBe, and a handful of 
  bracelets from Ann Taylor, Forever21, and Topshop. 


       Right behind our hotel was Millennium Park and I had
  to get a picture of the Cloud Gate. The whole park was 
  mind-blowing and larger than life and I still can't get over 
  the amount of beautiful flowers!

     During my first day in Chicago my Dad and I went to lunch with a friend at this charming little Italian restaurant; Maggiano's.

   The food was absolutely delicious (especially the tiramisu!) 
and the front of the restaurant provided a lovely area for a last
minute photo shoot! I know I'll definitely be back.

   We had just gotten off the plane and unpacked in the hotel room before we went to lunch so due to the little amount of time I had to get ready (girl problems) I kept my outfit simple, pairing my leather pants with my black dress shirt and nude flats.

 weekend with my Dad. Although it was a business trip, I enjoyed  
 every minute in the city and will definitely be back.
