This past Thursday I had the pleasure of shooting this look with the talented Bryce Ell of Bryce Ell Photography ! He did a fantastic job of capturing the effortless vibe of this look. 

I wore this outfit to White Linen Night in New Orleans a couple weeks back. I'm obsessed with these ripped jeans from Forever21. I had been searching for the perfect pair for so long and I love how they look against the black and white tank top. You'll definitely be seeing them a lot in future posts.

This past weekend was the start of Jazz Fest in New Orleans! I decided to go a little crazy this year and add try out some hair chalk . I know it's only temporary, but for someone who has never colored their hair, it was kind of a big deal and just love how it came out! I had my hairdresser apply it a few days before the fest and it faded out giving the colored pieces a deep pastel color. (There's actually black, green, and pink in there too) 

Thanks to this fabulous Louisiana heat, I ended up wearing it up for the rest of the day. I'm thinking of wearing it like this during the second weekend to see Foster The People !! *fangirls*

I found this adorable printed blouse at Forever21 a few weeks back and totally fell in love with it. It goes great with a black pencil skirt or with a pair of basic skinny jeans.

        Throughout the course of my ever-evolving personal style, I've discovered that I have a love for all things basic. Specifically, loose fitting tee shirts, neutral colored skinny jeans, and gold jewelry. I like to let the accessories be the focal point of the outfit. Take this gorgeous gold alligator backbone ring, for example. It can be worn with a fancy cocktail dress or simply paired with jeans and a tee shirt, either way it makes one hell of a statement. 

   

I've also have quite an obsession with scarves, especially printed ones. You'll be seeing quite a lot of them in later posts...
