(On Andi) Tee, skirt and jewels; Vintage + Hazel & Florange //

Hello dears! Here are some pics from the very first day of this season's NOLAFW
featuring the SS '14 lines from Hazel & Florange and Camilyn Beth! (on the blog tomorrow)

'' Inspired by Louisiana lovelies-- les muses, living on the river playing
scrabble late into the night.  Lovers of sweet tea, parades and a jazz band.''
                 - via Hazel & Florange

If you recall my post on Hazel & Florange's runway debut {here}, you'll remember how
much I loved how adorable/wearable each and every piece was! This season's collection was
full of playful silhouettes, (i.e that understated bustier and maxi-skirt combo, anyone?) chic
prints, and my personal fave; super cute and witty tees! The runway show even featured
eyewear from KREWE du Optic ( can we talk about those perfect bone white frames?! )
Be sure to check out their sites and follow along on social media-- you'll love it!

Now for my look, I snagged this gorgeous mint colored lace dress during the Shop Your
City Day Event the day before and it is currently being shared by my super stylish friend
Rebecca and I. We came across it and gave each other the look of 'We need this'.  I paired
a complimenting lace drawstring bag (not pictured) and some neutral suede platforms.
Simple, chic, and of course; Vintage!

Wear It Three Ways :: Studded Button Down

 photo wearitthreeways_zpsf272bce1.jpg photo threewayswithwords_zps3d8803ee.jpg

For this month's installment of Wear It Three Ways
I'll be styling my studded button down from my previous
    D.I.Y post (here)

After updating this basic blouse, I thought it would be
the perfect thing to use in this month's post!

                    Let's get started...

Outfit Details // Denim Top, Target + Jeans, Forever21 + Studded Bag, Nine West + Heels,     Fioni + Chain Bracelet & Rings, Silpada + Watch, Kennth Cole New York //

        1) Night - For this look I paired the denim top with some
contrasting dark wash jeans, nude peep-toe pumps, and small
drawstring bag (love the embellishments) to create a chic look
for a night out with your girlfriends or on a date!

Outfit Details // Denim Top, Target + Bathing Suit, Spanx for Target + Straw Hat, Forever21
+ Leopard Sandals, Target + Rings, Silpada + Watch, Kenneth Cole New York //

       2) Beach - Just because you're all greased up with sunscreen
doesn't mean you can't look chic at the beach! The ultimate
goal for this look was maximum sun protection. I achieved that
by wearing the denim top over the swimsuit and by adding a
(slightly gigantic) sunhat. I purchased this hat for JazzFest
several years ago from Forever21 and I just love the way it
  looks against the black suit!

Outfit Details // Denim Top, Target + Flared Jeans, Calvin Klein + Platforms, BCBG +
Tassel Necklace, Columbia St. Mercantile + Rings, Silpada + Watch, Kenneth Cole //

       3) BoHo - For my last look I wanted to style something 70's
inspired. So, I grabbed my flared jeans, super-high platforms,
tassel necklace and, voila! You can wear this outfit just about
anywhere and at anytime of the year. You could even roll up the    sleeves on the blouse during the Spring and Summer months and
add a black slouch hat during the Fall.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this
month's Wear It Three Ways post! I also hope that I've inspired
you to create some new outfits by refreshing some old pieces in
your wardrobe! Don't ever be afraid to wear the same thing
  twice ...or three times!

Jazz Fest Style 2013

// Loving this video coverage by AXS TV where Adam Levine says that he's '' Always wanted to experience Jazz Fest '' and that this is '' Definitely the coolest music festival they've been a part of ' //

Outfit Details: Top and Sandals, Target - Shorts, Citizen -
  Bag, Nine West :

Today wrapped up the last day of the New Orleans Jazz and
Heritage Festival 2013. The fest takes place every year in New
Orleans Louisiana during the last weekend in April and the first
weekend in May (Fri-Sun both weekends) I attended the fest on
 Friday, May 3rd.

John Mayer, The Black Keys and Royal Teeth were just a few of
of the headliners this year. The line up also included one of my
all time favorite bands..... MAROON 5!

           { Please excuse my fangirling }

My sister and I managed to get a pretty good view of the show
and went totally crazy. I sang the entire time. It was SO much
 fun!

Due to the harsh weather conditions (it was very cold, rainy,
and very muddy. And yes, I was unaware of this and was quite
cold) I left the old Nikon at home and was unable to
capture any images of the performance.

As far as my outfit goes I decided to keep it simple and laid
back. For me, that translates into a t-shirt, shorts and little,
or in this case no, jewelry. Totally not the norm! Due to
the weather conditions I actually wore a pair of leopard rain
boots. It was quite the fashion statement.

Snakeskin + Turquoise

Fist off, I would just like to start out by saying how comfortable these platforms are! I'm really not joking. I fell in love with them a few months back when I saw them at a BCBG Outlet in Gulfport. You'll be seeing quite a lot of them in later posts.

I paired the snakeskin top with my dark-wash flared jeans, platforms and fringe bag for a 70's style look and added the turquoise earrings to play-off of the detail on the bag for an extra pop of color. Speaking of color, I'm really not much for brightly colored lipstick. That is, until my Mom turned me onto M.A.C. lipstick. (I'm wearing shade 'Girl About Town') I absolutely adore this hot pink colored lipstick!

I highly recommend their lipsticks and I will definitely have to try branching out to the brighter side of the color-wheel this spring! ( As far as lipcolor goes, anyway )

How do you feel about wearing brightly colored lipstick?
